Residential Mortgage on an Unusual Property

A broker reached out to us regarding a client who was struggling to source a residential mortgage for a property through a high-street lender. Having inherited the property, the client was looking to add her partner to the existing mortgage. She also wanted to pay off two siblings, in order to keep the property as her main residence.

The nature of the residential property being 15% single skin and 30% mineral felt flat roof next door to an Indian restaurant, made it an unusual building, but not one that we couldn’t source a lender for.
